The trading deadline came and went and as expected, the Red Sox didn't do anything and the Yankees did everything to get more players. I scratch my head on the decisions, much as I used to do back prior to 2004 when the Yankees would do whatever they could to buy players at the deadline, and even more, this one makes no sense to me.

Slow day and LeBron finds the need to put him on front back page of the news, this time with an advertisement to his fans, if there are any left north of the Sunshine State. LeBron took out a full page ad in the Akron Beacon-Journal to thank his fans in Akron. Wait, what?

Tonight I’ve been asked to help a friend draft his fantasy football team. He’s never had a fantasy football team before, knows almost nothing about the game and possesses absolutely no athletic ability whatsoever. So how he even came to be involved in this league, I still haven’t discerned. Regardless, I feel obligated to help the kid out, and it has inspired this week’s Top 10.

A story on golf not involving Tiger Woods? And it has the sports' world buzzing? In a sport where fans can call in rules violations and there are only out of bounds if you can't hit your ball, the rules have come into play in this past weekend's PGA Championship. Dustin Johnson hit his first shot far right into the crowd and approached the ball. Set his club, took a practice swing, and then eventually hit the ball. PGA ruled it a 2-stroke violation, thus costing him a chance at the championship.
