Well, The Red Sox really just killed me today. You know how it is, one moment your doing fantastic, nothing could be better. The next moment you are laying in a shady motel bath tub full of ice missing a kidney. Never happened to you? Just wait. Sox had a 2 - 1 lead going into the 8th where once again, Hideki Okajima squanders up 2 runs. Seattle adds another, ex Red Sox stiff David Aardsma comes in and shuts the door for the save. This is horrific. I mean the Mariners are 30th in the league in AVG. at .235. It is only that high because Ichiro hits .308. Ichiro did not have a hit in todays game, 0 - 5, and the Sox still gave up 11 hits.

Red Sox 2012
With the Red Sox finally starting to play well over the last month or so, the early season complaints many fans had with the team have started to diffuse. Anticipating the potential for a lukewarm season (by Sox standards, at least), GM Theo Epstein attempted to curb the enthusiasm for the 2010 campaign last winter with his “bridge year” comments, hinting at the fact that the 2010 team was patching short-term holes without committing long-term to free agents. In other words, he was confidence in the young crop of players in the system and didn’t want to fill roster spots with risky, long-term signings (cough..cough…Jason Bay…cough).

Stephen Strasburg = Fail
Why is it that everyone is talking about Stephen Strasburg? I get it, he is a pitcher with great stuff, but he is plagued by the sport he so wants to dominate. If this was decades ago, even as near back as the 80s, this would mean more to baseball than it does today. Simply put, he will never amount to be one of the best of all time and its because of two simple words.

Ok, so I only got through half the league in the team previews. What do you want from me? I stated every day that if I pulled off getting all 30 done then it would be something of a miracle. Miracles don't really happen on Sorts of Sports. But I can do one thing better for you. Instead of polling all my writers for previews that you would just forget. I'll put my predictions on paper here and in a few months we can all look back and see how right I was.

30 Teams in 30-Something Days: Orioles
If I pull this off it'll be somewhat of an accomplishment, but I am going to take a quick look at all 30 MLB teams over the next month or so leading up to the 2010 MLB season. J ust the basics and my predictions on the upcoming season.
