Last week: 2-2 (+0.63 units)

Season (+10.64 units)

We are winding down the NFL season, and there are two great Championship matchups.  3 of the 4 teams have embraced their role as favorites thus far and progressed to the AFC and NFC championship games.  The fourth team has done the opposite, and played the underdog role magnificently.  The Jets have made it this far by upsetting the Bengals and Chargers, and look to do so against the Colts this week.  Nobody gave them a chance, but the Jets are one upset away from the Superbowl.

New York (+8) vs. Indianapolis (-110) 2 units Sportsbook.com

The Jets have embraced their role as underdogs thus far in the playoffs.  I expect a win at this point.  The defense is frustrating, the rushing game is dominating, and Mark Sanchez has been extremely level headed throughout the postseason.   On the other hand Peyton Manning is a future hall of famer.  The Colts offense is a force to be reckoned with.  As long as this one stays low scoring the Jets will beat the spread, and hopefully the Colts.

Prediction:  JETS 24, COLTS 20

Minnesota vs. New Orleans (-3.5) (-110) 1 unit Sportsbook.com

I have no idea why I’m picking the Saints in this one.  I just don’t believe Minnesota can’t upset this crew right now or even keep the game to a field goal.  The Saints offense is unbelievable.  Their defense is underrated.  The Vikings are one Brett Favre sack away from the season ending.   Both Favre and Brees want to lead their teams to the big one.  Both are hungry, and both will be throwing the ball a lot on Sunday.  I trust Brees to not throw picks.  I don’t always have that feeling with Favre.

Prediction: Vikings 27, Saints 38
