Can you smell it? The aroma is in the air. On Sunday, April 3rd the lights will shine brighter, the music will blare louder, and the entire world will be watching. It’s WrestleMania season baby!
The Grandest Stage of Them All will usher in its 27th installment this Sunday night live from Atlanta, Georgia. It’s amazing to think that this event started with a gamble by Vince McMahon back in 1985 and has now evolved into the Super Bowl of professional wrestling (or sports entertainment as the WWE would like you to call it).

It was a little over a month ago (Valentine’s Day to be exact) that The Rock made his triumphant return to WWE’s Monday Night Raw. He was announced as the host of WrestleMania XVII (27 for those not fluent in Roman numeric). The Rock was in all his glory on that night. You could see the goose bumps on his arms as “the millions” chanted his name. Rocky hadn’t missed a step in his 7 year absence and provided the fans with all of his vintage and trademark catchphrases.

Usually the sequel is never better. Unless of course it’s the Godfather Part II or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. With only a few days until WrestleMania XXVI all the talk is being centered around the rematch between “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. At last year’s WrestleMania, these two put on the greatest match in WrestleMania history and some may even argue the greatest match of all time.
