Merry Christmas Topher City Gopher Money Makers fans...Hoping to get over the .500 hump before 2012 (and the end of the world...Reflections on the past week and then this weeks picks follow...

1.) Safe to say 50% of TCGMM's losses have come as a result of picking the Vikings getting a ton of points...and the cycle continues...

2.) After taunting a JP Losman led Dolphins team it makes sense that Matt Moore/Reggie Bush tears into an absolutely anemic Buffalo team...

3.) Redskins did not disappoint. Its usually a safe bet to take an NFC East team getting a touchdown plus, even if Rex Grossman is the quarterback...

4.) Panthers continue to be the best bad team in the league...

Picks...

1.) Titans (-7) vs. Jaguars...Everyone in the Jaguars secondary is hurt...Everyone else on the Jaguars' roster (save MJD) are not that good...Look for Hasselbeck to get back on track at home...

2.) Chargers (+2.5) @ Lions...Philip Rivers leads a surging San Diego attack that should have woken up 6 weeks ago and ran away with the West...Instead they are fighting for a long-shot (well kind of long-shot, but considering it's the AFC West anything is possible) play-off berth against a Lions team that can clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 1999...Take the points...

3.) Eagles (+1.5) @ Dallas...Expect a close game between NFC East foes (see above)...Too little, too late but no one would not want to be going against that Philly offense right now...The Jets know exactly what we are talking about...

4.) Dolphins @ Patriots (Over 47.5)...There is an expression in New England "In Bill We Trust," referring to Belichick as a defensive mastermind... These days it seems to be better applied to Offensive Coordinator Bill O'Brien (the guy who Brady almost slapped on the sideline)...Christmas Eve at home? Tommy and the boys might go for 50...
