Topher City Gopher Money Makers
Last Week: (0-4)
Overall: (5-11)
I have said before that one good week could easily be written off as a fluke. Two absolute stinkers in a row looks like a trend. For all the pessimists out there I will call this weeks' article "TCGMM Sucks," while keeping in mind any optimists we will hopefully look back on these as "Redemption Picks." For anyone who took one of my suggestions from Week 1 and has been fading me, you are welcome. Quick notes on last week and then I never want to speak of it again...
1.) Oregon did everything in their power to cover the over. Cal put up a promising 15 points in the 1st half and then followed it up with a goose egg in second. Not to mention the two trips they took inside the Ducks' 10-yard line and came up empty handed...
2.) FSU has quickly gone from BCS Contender to the team the SEC will let the ACC keep...
3.) I actually got really excited when the Saints blocked the extra point, then realized it did not matter either way...
4.) Packers are unstoppable; on the road, at home, does not matter they are stacked ...
Picks
1.) Baylor (+9.5) @ Texas A&M...RG3 and the Baylor offense getting 9.5 in the Battle of the Brazos? Yup...
2.) Oklahoma State (-7) @ Texas...The Cowboys are very much in the National Championship discussion at this point and a victory in Texas would look great on the resume. Texas looked helpless last week again Oklahoma, and are at least a year or two away from being the team everyone always expects them to be. In Weeden to Blackmon we (TCGMM) trusts...
3.) Minnesota (+4) @ Chicago...Can anyone tell me what the Bear's O-line was doing Monday night? I am sure Jared Allen has a few ideas. Plus Minnesota finally figured out the formula, give Peterson the damn ball (hard to figure right?)...
4.) San Fran (+5) @ Detroit...If it were not for the Lions (5-0) record the 49ers (4-1) would be making a lot of headlines. Detroit is riding high right now as America's Sweetheart. Niners defense is stingy and offense is clicking under Coach Harbaugh. Take the points...
