Jeremy Lin or Michael Adams?

Everyone is talking about this Jeremy Lin guy, as if he is something amazing? I agree with Floyd Mayweather and his comments about Lin being Asian and getting all this credit. Really though, it helps that he plays for the Knicks, but if this was happening in Sacramento we wouldn't notice too much either. It was like Ryan Fitzpatrick doing well and people said, "Ryan Fitzpatrick from.... Harvard!". Those are the facts, he is the first Asian American player, he is from Harvard and he is doing well. But he isn't anyone, yet. I remind people of Michael Adams.

I got sucked into the seasonal tradition of watching the first episode of The Bachelor last night, which subsequently leads to me watching every week thereafter, whether live or DVR. Go ahead and mock, but with no Monday Night Football, and regular season NHL/NBA, it seems like the perfect opportunity to watch 25 crazed girls get manipulated, not by a guy, but by each other. This season we are taking the girls of the Bachelor and putting them to good use. Each one can represent an NBA team, and the winner of the Bachelor will thus represent the NBA winner.

Did the NBA have an agenda? Who knows, but Chris Paul is headed to Los Angeles to play with one of the league's best superstars. We all thought it was going to be Kobe Bryant, but Paul is taking his talents to the barbers as he joins the Blake Show and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers (see what I did there?)
The trade sends some talent and potential future talent to New Orleans, or wherever they move to. The key piece that the Hornets get in return is up and comming star, Eric Gordon. Gordon averaged near 23 points per game with more than four assists and one steal a game. It will be better than Paul's 16 ppg, but his 10 assists and 2.5 steals per game will be missed. In return the Hornets also get big man, Chris Kaman, and Al-Farouq Aminu, along with next year's first round pick via Minnesota, which could easily be a top 5 pick in one of the deepest projected drafts in the history of the NBA.

This spiteful man is still hurting from LeBron ditching Cleveland. If this isn't evidence that the league has issues.....

LeBron James has taken his talents overseas. It looks like China, or something like that. All I know is that Nike was sponsoring this event. Guy should probably work on his skills this off-season if he ever wants to win a Championship.

At about the midpoint of the third quarter, as the Celtics were making a run to reclaim the lead from a competitive Bucks squad, Paul Pierce, bounding up the court, accepted a pass from Rajon Rondo. Pierce received the ball just outside the three point stripe, proceeded to cross-up Brandon Jennings, and with a level of authority that would rival a late-‘90s Vince Carter delivery, soared across the paint for the one-handed stuff.

On the heels of Carmelo Anthony signing his extension with the New York Knicks and the rich getting richer, I wanted to take a look at other athletes that get paid an absurd amount of money for what they do. It has always been my stance not to hate on an athlete's salary since the market demands it, but I figured I would just bring it to everyone's attention. Oh by the way, the Cleveland Browns just franchised their kicker Phil Dawson. Dawson will get about $3.25 million next year. What's more crazy is that that is the average salary of the top 5 kickers. How hard is it to kick?

Carmelo Anthony is going to the Toronto Raptors. I don't really know anything anymore, nor did I ever know much, I just pretended, but this Carmelo Anthony trade thing needs to end. In fact, can we put something in writing that this stuff will not happen anymore? I'm talking about players acting like LeBron James.
