What does this mean for Cuse? Not going all the way.

The NCAA Season is halfway over with conference play in full swing. A lot of shakeups from early season predictions with teams unexpectedly winning and losing. Time to separate the winners versus those who won't get out of the first weekend come March.

Well, as if there weren't enough issues right now with NCAA, the Georgetown Hoyas mixed things up in China. I guess they play by different rules over there?

So it is finalized. The early entry list for NCAA players entering the NBA has been finalized and it seems as if everyone has decided that this isn't the year for them to go pro. Can you blame them? I am putting it on the record. I've said to may others before that there will not be an NBA season and now it is official. No way that the players will agree to a decrease in pay by 1/3, from $2.3 billion to about $1.5 billion. Nor will they agree in a hard salary cap or a franchise tag. The NBA is screwed, just because it can't afford to keep losing money. Assuming there were to be a season next year. Here's an early entry recap for the NBA Draft.

Kemba Walker of the Connecticut Huskies has announced that he will take his degree and bring his talents to the NBA. With such a depleted draft class, Kemba should be an easy top-10 pick. He had a season left to maybe help UConn win another title, but instead, the possibility of sitting around doing nothing while there is an NBA lockout seemed more enticing. Maybe he left because he just didn't enjoy doing school work and if he came back he would be forced to take additional classes such as dance or bingo. Then again, its not like he did much at Connecticut to 'earn' his degree.

Basketball fans from across the nation should be rooting for the Kansas Jayhawks tomorrow versus the VCU Rams. It was bad enough when George Mason made the Final Four several years ago, but we don't need another 11 seed moving on to the Final Four, especially not VCU.
